My Tests
×
There are various university entry exams that you might be required to take.
SAT and ACT are the two standard test you can choose from. You will need to have certain score to get in to university/college and also scores that are required by NCAA and NAIA governing bodies.
SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) consists of 2 sections - English and Math - with Essay as an option for those who apply to top academic universities. Total score for two sections is 1600. There are 4 tests a year available to international students: October, December, March and May.
ACT (American College Testing) has four sections: English, Math, Reading and Science Reasoning with an optional Writing section. Maximum score is 36 which is an average of each section score. For international students it is administered 5 times a year: September, October, December, April and June.
We suggest to stick to one type of test if possible (you might need to take both SAT and ACT because of their availability over the course of the year). So which one should you take? The biggest differences between the tests are that the ACT has a science reasoning section, and there is one SAT Math Section for which you cannot use a calculator. Also SAT gives you far more time per problem, so it is a much less intense testing experience. Colleges do not prefer one over the other, so explore both tests to decide which one is right for you.
You can take a short quiz to see which test is more suitable for you or read more about the differences here.

If your login details do not work that means you account was deleted because you have not logged in for sometime. Do not worry - let us know and we will create you a new account.
The registration costs $135 but you only need to do that once and it will last all 4 years!
National Collegiate Athletics Association is the biggest governing body for the sports at colleges and universities across US. The NCAA membership creates rules in three separate divisions that determine an individual’s eligibility to participate in intercollegiate athletics. Prospective student-athletes must meet minimum academic standards and amateurism criteria to play college sports.
Besides the academic requirements it is important that you won`t take more than one gap year out of full-time education. Playing in some leagues / competitions and / or being paid for competing might be deemed as competitive advantage and would damage your eligibility.
Let us know if you have any questions about NCAA or your eligibility.

NCAA is fussy about transcripts (certificates) so it is important that you prepare them be sent according to the instructions below. We encourage you to send us a scan or photo or your transcripts before mailing them to NCAA. It takes time to have transcripts reviewed so make sure you start early.
If you took exams in more than one school (e.g. you took your GCSEs in school A but then moved to school B to do your A-levels or BTEC):
- Make a copy of all certificates from school A. Get a C4 envelope. Make a note of your NCAA ID.
- Go to school A and ask your headmaster to stamp and sign every page of your certificates (example).
- Ask school A headmaster to write up a letter stating your full name, date of birth, NCAA ID, what exams you have taken and when you have finished school A (example).
- Ask school A headmaster to stamp a C4 envelope on the seal - just like in the old days when they would put a wax seal (example).
- Send us a scan or photo so we can check if everything is done right.
- Pack your transcripts, and cover letter in the envelope and post it to:
NCAA Eligibility Center
Certification Processing
P.O. Box 7136
Indianapolis, IN 46207-7136
- Log in to check the status - if your transcripts are rejected compliance office will give you a reason.
- If you already have certificates from the school B you should make copies of the certificates you got at school B and repeat the steps above. Make sure school B stamps and signs only the copies of certificates from school B and you pack them in the envelope with school B stamp over the seal.
- If you are still in school after 30th April of the year you are graduating you can get a letter written by school B headmaster stating your full name, date of birth, NCAA ID, what exams you will be taking and when you will graduate school B
If you haven`t changed schools you can pack everything in one envelope and send it altogether. However, you might want to send some of your grades before 30th April.

In some cases you might need to be cleared by an eligibility centre and / or accepted to a university / college (complete college application) before the coach can send your NLI. Do that as fast as possible - your scholarship is not guaranteed until you sign your NLI!

GRADE TRANSLATION
×
In most cases you will have to send your transcripts to the admission office of the college / university and they will do the grade translation themselves. However, some of the institutions will ask you to use World Education Services (WES) or Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) to translate your grades.
Let us know if you need a hand with grade translation
How to get your grades translated by WES:
- Apply to WES. You will need to fill a short form stating what courses you were doing, at what institution and when you have achieved your certificates so have your paperwork ready.
- Order the report. The admission office of your university / college will let you know what report they accept. Most of the institutions asks for document by document report sent directly from WES to university / college.

AFFIDAVIT
×
After getting preliminary acceptance to a certified school in the United States, you will be given an Affidavit of Support form to fill out. Note that some schools call the form something different, like Undergraduate Sponsor Statement.
On the form, you will need to provide proof that you or your sponsor (which is probably your parents) have enough funds to cover the costs of your stay in the United States. This typically means that you will need to get an official statement from your bank.
The costs outlined in the form normally include other costs such as travel and living expenses which are overestimated. In reality you will most likely spend less than the amount you are asked to show in your bank statement.
Here you can find instructions as well as a blank form in case your university / college haven`t sent you one. After submitting the Affidavit of Support form, the school will review it. If you are approved, they will give you a I-20 form
Here is something that comes up often when filling in the Affidavit of Support for college:
The college wants me to list the full tuition amount, even though I am on scholarship!
Don`t worry! Just because the college wants you to list the full tuition amount, it doesn’t mean that you will be paying that amount. Your scholarship offer is still binding. In some cases, you may be required to show documentation related to your scholarship when submitting your Affidavit of Support. This is especially important if your bank funds aren`t enough to cover the full tuition amount but are adequate when the scholarship is factored in. The bottom line? Just fill out the forms as instructed. You won`t lose scholarship money because of the Affidavit of Support form.

I-20
×
Your I-20 form is very important (that’s an understatement!).
In the United States, the Department of Homeland Security is in charge of keeping track of foreigners in the country. They have a specific department in charge of keeping tabs on students. This department is known as SEVP – or the Student and Exchange Visitor Program. SEVP uses a system called SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) to keep track of foreign students in the country.
The I-20 is basically a paper version of the SEVIS record. As a foreign student, you will need to present the I-20 form in certain situations and update it as required. You should carry your I-20 every time you travel to and from the US and you will need it to start your VISA application and present it during your VISA interview at the U.S. embassy.

DS-160
×
Now that you have paid your SEVIS fee you can fill DS-160 form. If you need help completing the form drop us an email and we`ll arrange a skype or facetime call to help you complete it.
When you`re done with the form you should print the Confirmation Page with the barcode.
Note:
- you will have to select the embassy at the beginning of the process. If you live in the UK you can select from London and Belfast. Often we recommend Belfast as it doesn`t have such long queues, is friendlier and easier to access (just a bus ride from airport).
- if you make a mistake completing the DS-160 you can correct the information if you have saved, but not transmitted the form. If the form has been transmitted, you will unfortunately have to complete a new DS-160.

Book an assessment game

A lot of players can play in the US but not that many would receive a substantial scholarship. We believe that good assessment is paramount to success of our clients - we want to be realistic about the level you can compete at, the scholarship funding you would attract and how well you would adapt to American collegiate sports system. After all, success of our clients means the success of our company.
Don`t worry! The assessment is a friendly game where players just like yourself come to showcase their skills. We have an information session before the game to give you and your parents / guardians better idea of what scholarship entails, the process and what is it like to study and compete in the US.
So don`t sit and book your assessment! We look forward to seeing you play.
